The National Council for Human Rights maintains its status "A" by the Global Alliance for National Human Rights Institutions

Mr. Mohamed Fayek the President of the National Council for Human Rights (NCHR) welcomed the fact that the NCHR has maintained its status “A”  by the Sub-Committee on Accreditation of the Global Alliance for National Human Rights Institutions, which is the highest status obtained by the national human rights institutions.

In a statement issued by the NCHR, Fayek thanked the NCHR’s members and staff for their hard work and professional performance, stressing that this highlights the positive cooperation between the NCHR and the relevant authorities which requires building upon it and exerting more efforts to improve the human rights situation in Egypt.

Fayek also hailed the ongoing cooperation on the regional and international levels with the national human rights institutions, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and regional networks which contributes in supporting the NCHR’s foreign movement and its presidency of the Arab and African Networks for National Human Rights Institutions next year.
